Both views feature a loose, comfy fit and a dropped shoulder. View B features an envelope back that is also an accessibility feature. The straight hemlines make this pattern perfect for stripes and we have drafted the neckband with our no-fuss application.
The Hyde can be sewn on a serger/overlocker or entirely on a regular domestic sewing machine, and the neckband includes notches, for a no-fuss application that lets you skip the quartering process!
What fabric for your Hyde T-Shirt?
The Hyde T-Shirt is designed to be sewn with knit fabrics with 2-way or 4-way stretch, but it was designed to work especially well with striped fabric. We suggest cotton jersey, cotton/spandex jersey, interlock, bamboo jersey, merino jersey, merino interlock, cotton/modal jersey.
4-way stretch fabric has stretch and recovery that is equal in both the horizontal and vertical directions. 2-way stretch fabrics stretch in one direction, usually from selvedge to selvedge (but can be in other directions depending on the knit), and also recover. You can hear Leila chat about and show you some fabrics with 4-way and 2-way stretch on this video.
