Description

The Willandra Pants [pronounced like Wil-land-ra] are ankle length tapered pants with a flat front and elasticated back waistband. They feature a diagonal side seam that wraps around the body, a generous rise, and ample room through the crotch to accommodate large bodies. There are generous pockets built into the unique side seams.

We would like to acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the Willandra Lakes region, the Barindji people, and pay our respects to Elders past and present.

Finished Garment Measurements:

Please select your size based primarily on your hip measurement (waist is adjustable with the elastic). Alterations in length can be easily made by shortening or lengthening at the shorten/lengthen lines on the pattern.

Fabric & Notions

Suggested Fabric:

This pattern is designed for use with woven fabrics with a lot of drape. We suggest tencel, cupro, viscose/viscose blends, rayon, or lightweight crepe fabrics

Fabric Yardage:

Sizes A-I
• 2.5m/2.7 yards (150cm/60” wide)
• 3m/3.3 yards (115cm/45” wide)

Sizes J-M
• 3m/3.3 yards (150cm/60” wide)
• 4.2m/4.6 yards (115cm/45” wide)

If you’re using a patterned fabric with a repeat that you’d like to match, you may need more fabric than what is suggested above.

Ensure your fabric is washed and pre-shrunk before cutting.

Notions:

• 1.25-1.5” wide waistband elastic (to fit 75% of waist measurement)

• Matching thread

• Lightweight fusible interfacing
