The Sculthorpe Pants are ankle length tapered pants with a fully-elasticated waist. They have side panels that feature a V-shaped pocket, a generous rise, and ample room through the crotch to accommodate large bodies.

Finished Garment Measurements:

Please select your size based primarily on your hip measurement (waist is adjustable with the elastic and must be at least the size of your hip plus at least 1 inch). Alterations in length can be made using the shorten/lengthen lines on the pattern.

Suggested Fabric:

This pattern is designed for use with a variety of medium weight woven fabrics. Lightweight
cotton canvas, cotton twill/drill, tencel twill, medium and medium-heavyweight linen, corduroy, suitings, or lightweight coating fabric may be used.

As with most garment sewing, we do not recommend the use of quilting cottons.

• 3.5m/3.8 yards (115cm/45” wide)

If you’re using a patterned fabric with a repeat that you’d like to match, you may need more fabric than what is suggested above.

Ensure your fabric is washed and pre-shrunk before cutting.

Notions:

  • 1.5” wide waistband elastic (to fit waist)
  • Matching thread
  • 1 inch wide strips of lightweight fusible interfacing
